MMTx uses the following third party software
--------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------
Sleepycat Software: Berkeley DB Java Edition
---------------------------------------------

Berkeley DB JE is a high performance, transactional storage engine
written entirely in Java. Like the highly successful Berkeley DB product,
Berkeley DB JE executes in the address space of the application, without
the overhead of client/server communication. It stores data in the
application's native format, so no runtime data translation is required.
Berkeley DB JE supports full ACID transactions and recovery.
It provides an easy-to-use interface, allowing programmers to store
and retrieve information quickly, simply and reliably.

Berkely DB JE can be retrieved from http://sleepycat.com

   are met:

notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer.
   2. Redistributions in binary form must reproduce the above copyright
notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer in the
documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution.
   3. Redistributions in any form must be accompanied by information on
how to obtain complete source code for the DB software and any
accompanying software that uses the DB software. The source code
must either be included in the distribution or be available for no
more than the cost of distribution plus a nominal fee, and must be
freely redistributable under reasonable conditions. For an
executable file, complete source code means the source code for all
modules it contains. It does not include source code for modules or
files that typically accompany the major components of the operating
system on which the executable file runs.

MedPostSKR
---------------------------------------------------------------

MMTx uses a modified version of Larry Smith's MedPost Part of Speech Tagger.
More specifically, MMTx uses a java implementation of the trained
component of MedPost with changes made to address tokenization
differences between MetaMap and MedPost. For details on MedPost see
See http://bioinformatics.oupjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/20/14/2320

MedPost can be picked up from
